About Me

Roque Caston is a writer, blogger, editor, and journalist. He was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Growing up, he always knew he was meant to be a creative person. He was always writing in journals in between classes while coming up with fictional stories. After high school, he decided to share his writings, his life, and his perspectives with the world by creating the blog called Roque's Reality back in 2009. With the site, he shares humorous tales about his life while also sharing hard lessons about life.

His writings led to the attention of various people, and has since contributed to digital and print publications such as True Fashionista Now, MUSED Magazine, The Future Forward, and Gayosphere. He’s currently a staff writer for Floss Magazine, reporting news in fashion and advertising. He’s also writing and reporting journalism pieces for GBM News, an online newspaper that reports LGBT news.

Currently a student at John Jay College of Criminal Justice pursuing a major in Writing & Literature, his biggest career goal is to be a critically acclaimed and well respected writer and journalist in the world of publishing. He wants to write novels, a syndicated column, memoirs , and biographies along with publishing freelance pieces for The New Yorker, New York Magazine, Time Magazine, GQ, Vanity Fair, and The Huffington Post.
